Yellowstone

Jason goes back to school on the 30th of this month and then it's back to being a single mom so we decided we needed a quick trip as a family before the craziness begins again.  We decided we would go camping. Well last wednesday we started looking for places for that weekend but everything was full. Bear Lake, Jordanelle, Smith's Moorehouse.... everywhere! So we decided to try Yellowstone. I had promised Jason we would go this summer but we hadn't made it up yet so we thought why not. Well they were full to but happened to have one cabin for monday night and tuesday night and it just "happened" to be the week that Dr. Carroll was gone so I didn't have to work so we took it. Adi had been pretty sick so we weren't sure it was going to work out. We had taken her to the dr. just as she started getting sick on monday and by sat. we were worried we shouldn't go cause she was coughing lots and had fevers. We took her to the Dr. again Sat. and he said she should be on the tail end of it and that we didn't need to cancel our plans. So Saturday we got everything together and I swear EVERYTHING was going wrong! We really were to the point that even though we had boughten everything, which was a mess in and of itself, we shouldn't go. The car had broken down, we had just tons of stuff not falling into place.  Well we prayed about it and we both felt like we should go. Now that we are back, I really think it was Satan trying to keep us from going on a family vacation because it really renewed and further strengthened our marriage and family love as time together usually do! So Sunday we left to Idaho where we had dinner with Grandpa Woody, Michelle, Brian, Scott, Danny, Bobby, Laura and Ava. We also saw Norma in the hospital as she had just had her heart attack. Daniel and Ashley and Scott were also there. It was great to see everybody. We stayed with Grandpa that night and Monday morning we headed up to yellowstone. We stayed in the Canyon Village and drove a ton to see everything. It was such a fun trip. Then Wed. Morning we came back home down through the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole.  Adi was such a trooper and traveled great! We mainly tried to drive as she was taking naps and it worked great! 4th of July

For the 4th of July this year, we headed down to Richfield like usual. We got there the night of the 3rd of July just in time to see the fireworks in Aurora. Then on the 4th, we went to richfield for the parade. It was great as usual.

We then went to the Richfield park for a little bit then headed over to Aurora park for lunch with my family. We then took a nap at my mom's house as poor Adi was so worn out! Then it was back to Richfield for a barbecue with the Damrons, Olsens, Sanders and a few other friends.  It was so much fun to be with family!

 After eating, we jumped back in the car and headed over to Salina for the Rodeo. Shandi was doing flags as well as being announced as 2nd attendant in the junior Sevier County Rodeo royalty so it was really fun to see her. Unfortunately, Adi didn't last to long because she was so exhausted so Jason being the amazing daddy he is took her home to my mom's house and put her to bed and told me to stay and watch the rodeo and fireworks. They were great to watch but it's just not the same watching fireworks without Jason. But he was so so sweet to make me stay and enjoy my family.

Thursday, Jason helped my dad pull two transmissions out of his big dump trucks all day. That evening, we went to Spiderman with Paul and Becca and my parents while my sisters watched the kids. It was a great movie and even better to be on a date which doesn't happen often anymore! :) Friday we headed up to Maple Grove for part of the Bastian Family Reunion. It is always so fun to see extended family and brings back many memories and fun stories!  Saturday, Jason headed up to fishlike with Paul and Cason really early in the morning. They had made these new paddles to fish for Macs and were so excited to use them. They headed up there and rented a boat and started out. After getting to the middle of the lake, the boat broke down and wouldn't start again so they had to row back to shore (with one paddle) and Paul walked 1/2 mile back to the lodge while Jason stayed with Cason. Then someone had to come tow the boat back to the harbor. By this time, they were pretty frustrated and their time was almost up for the boat rental so they just got their money back and came home. Needless to say, it wasn't a very successful fishing trip but they had fun in the process.

This was actually from a fishing trip a couple weeks ago that was way successful! They sure love to fish!

We then just stayed till Sunday evening and came back home. It was such a fun week and we always love being with family. We missed Dale, Barbara, Jamie and Riley but it was great to be with everyone that could be there!

9 Months

Adi is 9 1/2 months right now and I figured I had better do her 9 mo. post.  We actually have her dr. appointment tomorrow so I will have to put in her weight and everything later.
*Update: At 9 1/2 months Adi's stats were:
Height: 29.5 inches tall (about 75%)
Weight: 17.7 lbs. (about 35%)
Head: 17.2 in. (about 5%)

Adi at nine months:

• Says dada and mama
• Will tell you what a doggie says (more like a high pitch squeal over and over) and growl like a bear.
• Went out of the state for the first time to yellowstone and Idaho (9 1/2 Months)
• Rolls over both ways consistently
• Finally started crawling (Last Sunday the 15th of July) and is now into EVERYTHING!!! but is much happier to be moving.
• At her last Dr. appointment due to a virus last week, she weighed about 18 lbs. 
• Still is talking like crazy! 
• Can finally do her hair in a little pony on top of her head! It's adorable!
• Loves to play patty cake and peekaboo
• Has her two mandibular central incisors
• Got a new carseat because she's to tall for her infant seat! She loves her new throne! 

We just love her so much!!  She has quite the personality and is so fun to be around! We don't know what we would do without her!!

She loves her graham crackers and squash!!!! Poor thing had itchy eyes so she would rub them and got a messy face!!!
