Temple Square
Last night, Jason, Kelsey Lamont and I were able to go to temple square! We first went and ate in draper then continued up to temple square. It was so fun to go see the lights and we heard part of a concert from the Taylorsville institute choir! I love going to temple square! It was cold but so worth it! Here are some pictures!

Thanksgiving
We had a great thanksgiving this year! It was Jason's families year for thanksgiving and it was so fun to all be together. We went down to Richfield the Tuesday before thanksgiving. We stopped and saw my family for a minute then went in to his parent's house. On wed the rest of his family came. We all hung out together and Jason and I went shopping for a little bit. Wed Jason came down with a cold and wasn't feeling to well so that night he took some night time medicine to help him sleep. Well the next morning I woke up and helped make thanksgiving dinner. Jason stayed asleep until about 12:30 and got up, ate thanksgiving dinner, and went back to sleep for a while more. I felt so bad for him! That night I went shopping a little with my mom and aunts and he played games with his family. Then on Friday, we went out to my farm with Jason's family and my dad came over and we all shot clay pigeons! It was so fun! I didn't do very well but Kim was Annie Oakley! The rest all did very well too! We then went back into richfield and that night had our christmas party! Since all of the Jensen kids are married and all but us have kids, they do christmas at their own houses so we have the Jensen christmas party with thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun. We started with the christmas story from Barbara.
Then each of the kids had drawn names and gotten gifts for each other. It was so fun to watch them get excited to open their gift, but even more fun to watch them get so excited to give the gift they had gotten for their cousin.

Then all the kids went and watched a movie while the adults did white elephant gifts. There was a variety of gifts from a used wrench to paul's amazing painting. It was so fun and most of all we enjoyed being together!!
The next day we went on the Chrismas tree hunt. We went up the mountain to the top with Paul and Becca and found them a tree. We then went back down a little lower and Chip was kind enough to let Jason and I take the ranger and we went and found our Christmas tree. It was also Kassi's first real experience with snow and she loved to play in it!!

We then went home and had a birthday party! It was Cadence's birthday that day and Aiden's was Dec. 2nd, Barbara's Dec 4th, and Grandma Jensen's Dec. 6th. We opened gifts and had cake. Cadence then painted our toe nails with her kit she got for her christmas present!

We spend Sunday with my family. We went to church and then went over to Grandma Hales' It was so fun to be able to spend the weekend down with our families! We love them so much are are so grateful for such amazing support and love! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you'll count your blessings all year round!
PS Sorry about the sideways pictures! My computer wouldn't keep them rotated when I'd upload them! Not sure what I did wrong!

Update and Halloween
Well Jason and I have been super busy since we've been back to school. The weekend before we went back to school, we were able to get a little pomeranian puppy! Her name is Kassi and she's been so much fun! She's definately been lots more work than I expected but she's doing so great! We're trying to train her to be a hospital therapy dog and hopefully she'll continue to progress and be able to reach that goal! She has been doing great and learns new things every day. She can roll over, fetch, give high five, wave bye, dance, winds in a circle, stays most of the time we tell her to (still working on staying while we throw the ball) and comes most of the time we tell her to. (still working on that one too especially when she's outside. there must just be so many more exciting things out there than us!) She's growing so fast though and is a great baby substitute for now till I finish school.

School has been going really well but is also SO busy! Jason is taking some difficult classes so he's busy with homework constantly. He is also in the pre-med club presidency and is always busy with that. He's still mentoring Lamont and does something with him at least once a week, is still in young mens with the deacons and so he has that once a week too as well as meetings. He's also still working about 10hours a week. But he's enjoying all of it (maybe not homework all the time or maybe that's just me wanting to go play) but he does well at balancing everything!
I'm in dental hygiene school now and I love being able to be going to school for my career finally! It's been very demanding but I'm learning so much! I just hope I can remember everything for boards in two years! :) I love learning in clinic and some of the classroom stuff and the rest of it you just get through! I am also stil working for Packer Dental and love my job! Lisa and Dr. Packer are so good to me! It will be a sad day when I have to move and find another Job wherever Jason gets into med school! I am currently serving as the SADHA (Student american dental hygiene association) president for my class. This is a great opportunity and I've loved getting to know the other girls better in my class through working with them.
So that's pretty much our lives lately but we have had some time for fun to. We were able to go down to Richfield for the deer hunt both weekends. Jason went up on west and I stayed down in the valley with my dad. The first weekend I shot at a two point and was sure I had hit him. My dad saw him hunch over and we were sure he went down. We saw the other doe he was with jump the fence but never saw him go with them. Well we went over to where he was standing and couldn't find him anywhere. My dad followed the tracks into the field where the others had gone and couldn't find anything. We looked for a half hour till it was to dark to see then went back the next morning. Still nothing. Not a drop of blood or anything. We concluded I must have missed him. Jason didn't see anything at all this weekend. Well the next weekend we went down and didn't have any luck either. I didn't see anything and Jason saw a spike but never got a good shot at it. Well the next weekend which was two weekends after I shot at that first buck, my dad calls me and says, "I found your deer". He was driving down the highway and saw some birds circling out in the field where the doe had gone and was though that must be it so he went over in the field and sure enough there was my deer rotted and gross! I was so sad that all that great meat went to waste. Kinda a bummer for the first deer I've ever shot at! If we had even seen a drop of blood and knew I hit him we would have found him! Oh well next time I guess!
For halloween we were able to go to Lagoon with Dallas and his wife Amy and Riley and Danielle during the day. Of course I forgot my camera so we didn't get any pictures of that. That night we had a little party at our house. We had fun with some friends then Jamie brought over some of her friends. It was so much fun to have Riley and Danielle up here with us too! Here are some pictures. I was Storm from X-men and Jason was Saber Tooth and Kassi was a prom queen.

Hawaii
Well since we've been home over two months now, I guess it's time to update our blog with our Hawaii trip. We had SO much fun! Thanks so much to Erica, Luke and the Smith's for letting us go! We were able to do everything from skydiving, swimming with sharks, visiting the PCC, pearl harbor, and the doll plantation, to relaxing on the beach! It was so much fun!! Here are some fun stories!
So we were able to go and do the shark cages. The night before and the morning of Jason made sure to take some motion sickness pills because he gets sick really easy. Well we made it out to the sharks without any problems. We climbed in the cage and they released us from the boat. The water was pretty choppy that morning so we were kinda being tossed around pretty good. We got out far enough from the boat and they told us we could go under water. We expected to go under and just have the sharks swim up to the cage. Well we stuck our heads under water and there were about 10 to 15 sharks that were 12 to 15 feet long circling our cage all around us!! It was the craziest feeling and definately took my breath away for a minute!! We were able to stay out there and watch them for about 20 minutes. While out there we also had a baracuda come close enough to see. Also a little frighteneing! He could fit through the cage bars. Well about 10 minutes into it I look over and Jason is throwing up over the side of the cage. I didn't know at the time but this is about the 3rd time! Poor guy! I asked if he was ok and he said yeah. Well being the tough guy he is and knowing this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, he stuck it out till it was time to get back in the boat. We climbed back in and I asked Jason if he was ok. Erica asked if he threw up and when we told her yes she said something to the effect of, "that's what was all around us! I thought it was the chum they threw out for the sharks and some of it got stuck inbetween my mask and my lip!!" We felt so bad but she's a good sport poor girl!
We also were able to go to the premier of the PCC's new show "HA The Breath of Life" It was incredible!!! We loved it!
Pearl harbor was a great experience as well. It was really neat to see and talk with some of the survivors of pearl harbor and to see all the monuments! What a sad day that was!!
We spent lots of time at the beach boogy boarding, snorkling and Jason even got to try surfing. I'm definately not a boogy boarder as I was thrown to the ground many times! (the waves weren't even that big either) Jason did well surfing but unfortunately, the waves were almost non existant the day we went out with the surf board. We only had it rented for that day so it was the only chance he had. He was able to get up a few times though and I know with a little practice, he'd be up in no time!
We ate at some really good places and I'll tell you what, the people in Hawaii know how to eat! I don't think I've ever eaten as much in two weeks as I did in Hawaii!! Our favorite was to go to Matsumoto's!! We loved to go get the shaved ice with the yummy ice cream in the bottom! It was delicious!!!
We were able to hike to monowili (I don't think I spelled that right) falls and go jump off the cliffs into the water fall. It was so much fun! It was a gorgeous hike too!!
We saw many animals including a lot of crabs, some spinner dolphins, sea turtles, an eel, and many other sea life creatures! It was such a fun trip and I can't thank the smith's enough for their kindness in letting us stay! What a great memory that we'll never forget!!!

Summer Fun!
This summer has been amazing! We have had so much fun and are sad to see it coming to an end but here is a recap of the past few months. For June and July we both worked and played hard. I think we were gone every weekend from the end of June through August. My poor primary kids won't even remember who I am! We went to weddings, baby blessings, family functions and holiday festivities. For the Fourth, we went down to Richfield and hung out with our families. The next weekend we took Lamont down and took him horse riding and four wheeling. We had lots of fun but he wasn't to sure what to think about the horses! The twenty fourth we went down again and Jason was able to help his mom all day with some things she needed done around her house. I hung out with my family and went to some of the festivities at the park. Then we were able to go on a horse ride with my aunt Melinda and uncle Jason. It was so fun to be up in the mountains and we heard and saw tons of elk! It was amazing.
We were also able to go boating a couple times at the end of July! We went to Mona res. with some friends and then to Lake Powell with Jason's family! We had so much fun and love being on the water. Here are some pictures of boating!

We were able to take Riley and Danielle with us to lake powell and had tons of fun! Thanks again to the adams for letting us come!!

Memorial Day Weekend!
This has been a very fun month. We are both loving not having homework and being able to do what we'd like to with our evenings. We've both been working hard and loving life. Jason's internship is going well. It started out a little rocky but he's learned quick and is enjoying it now. I'm still loving my job as well! This last weekend was memorial day weekend. Friday night we went to ali's dance recital! She did such a great job and is such a little sweetheart! Thanks Tim and Nellie for inviting us. We then headed down to maple grove to go camping with Jason's Family. We got there pretty late and set up our tent in the dark. We then said goodnight to everyone and went to bed. The next morning it started to rain. It kept raining all throughout the early afternoon. It was that weird rain too where you could be out in it and not feel like your getting that wet but within an hour you're soaked. Finally everyone decided we would just go back to Richfield. We were planning to leave the next day so we took down our tent and packed up even though the others left their stuff to come back on sunday. That evening we celebrated Dale's and Nicole's birthday. We played games and had lots of fun!

We then headed to my house to go to bed. Sunday we went to church with my family in Sigurd then went to my house to have dinner with my grandpa, my aunts and uncles and cousins that had come to visit. It was so fun to see all my family that were able to come! We played more games then headed back to maple grove where Jason's family had gone back to. We had smore's and they made a fun bungi swing that the kids loved! We played lots and then drove back to provo.

These are all fun pictures of maple grove! Monday, Jason was fixing some pipes downstairs to get the faucet outside in our front yard to work. While he was working on it, he turned the valve and water went everywhere! You can't really tell but he has water all over his face in this picture! It was pretty funny!! But, I'm so grateful for a husband that can fix just about anything! Love you babe!

Sunday was also Erica's birthday!! She is finally 21!! Since we weren't able to be there sunday, we went over to her house monday afternoon. The reeve family is so sweet! They made hamburgers and we had a huge dinner. Then we had ice cream cake, opened gifts and did a slip and slide! Next was limbo! Erica is the limbo queen! We had so much fun!! We played the bean game with her family and Jason (the little manipulator) won! ha ha jk but it was a way fun weekend!! Here are the pictures from Erica's party.

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to go up provo canyon and roast hot dogs and have smores and cobler with Tim, Nellie, Ali, and Max! Here are the fun pictures of that outing!

So we've definately had a busy summer but have had TONS of fun!!! We definately have the best friends and family ever! Hope you all are doing well!!
